The (Pink)Red Wedding Thread

The red thread, or in other words: The theme doesn’t have to be. But it certainly makes sense. And once you’ve decided on a theme, many decisions are tied to it.

How Do We Organize our Wedding?

In the euphoria, one often figuratively puts the cart before the horse. That means: Bridal couples often think about small details, although fundamental things need to be clarified first. An important question, for example: Do you want a theme? Once that’s decided, many things fall into place – not everything, but quite a lot.

The Red Thread

A theme doesn’t have to be, but it certainly makes sense. It can be a point of reference, or better said a “guiding thread”. Once you’ve decided on a theme, many decisions are tied to it. For example, someone who wants a princess wedding won’t choose a bridal bouquet with dark red roses. And that brings us to the crucial point: If you have a theme, do it properly. What I don’t like are half-measures.

Which Wedding Theme Suits Us.

How serious am I when I say: “I stick to the theme?” There are certainly people who would say I’m deadly serious about it. As deadly serious as James Bond takes out the villains. Speaking of which: I once had the opportunity to plan and accompany a James Bond themed wedding. Plastic guns and theme songs are for beginners. At this wedding, the guests were “abducted” from the airport in a stretch limousine, the bride wore various dresses that would have taken Pierce Brosnan’s breath away and made the Pope pale with shame.

The Moral …

… of the story: If you decide on a theme, it should be carried through from A to Z. Because there’s nothing worse than having a theme that is only half-heartedly implemented. I’ve been invited to several themed weddings myself, but in the end it was just chaos. Nothing really fit together and the guests made fun of the implementation rather than appreciating all the work behind it. Many couples only know about the theme superficially, and that’s often where the difficulty lies. The right structure in planning is essential. The correct step-by-step planning helps you to plan the wedding successfully from start to finish and avoid planning mistakes.
