Jeweler Laura Wieland Explains how You Can Find the Perfect Wedding Ring in 5 Steps.

Not everything that glitters is (yellow) gold. True. It can also be rose gold, white gold, platinum, or with a brilliant. Laura Wieland now reveals how to find the perfect wedding rings.

1. How Do We Find the Perfect Wedding Rings?

The search for the perfect wedding ring is not an easy one. There are different materials, colors, designs, and depending on how elaborate the ring is, the price also varies considerably. I can’t advise you on the design, because you know best what you like and what suits you. But there are a few important tips from the professional that will certainly help you in your search for the ring for eternity.

2. Dear Laura, What should Bridal Couples Pay Attention to when Choosing Rings?

“The most important thing about the ring is the material. For example, gold comes in different alloys, and not all of them hold up equally well. A wedding ring is worn for 30 years or longer. If the material is too soft or the ring too thin, it won’t survive this time intact. Good material is hardly distinguishable from poorer quality for the layman, because brand new rings always look beautiful and of high quality. However, a quality feature you can rely on is MADE IN GERMANY, as only high-quality precious metal is processed under this seal. The material quality is also important because the ring may need to be made wider or narrower at a later date. If it’s strong enough and the material is good, then that’s no problem at all.”

3. How much Budget should be Planned for Wedding Rings?

“With us, you can get high-quality wedding rings as a pair without gemstones from about € 1,000. If you want a bit more design details, on average € 1,500. Of course, the price depends on the material, the design, and the number of diamonds. Those who prefer something more extravagant will need to budget a bit more for the wedding rings.”

4. What Do You Recommend for the Design?

“I recommend a rather simple design for the wedding ring, one that is timeless and will still fit in the future. If you want to spice up the ring, you can also do that with a beautiful stacking ring. There are many occasions for this: for the 1st wedding anniversary or the birth of a child.

5. A Personal Tip from Laura

“An excellent idea is to first look at a ring configurator on the websites of wedding ring producers. There you can try out the rings digitally, so to speak, and make a pre-selection. But be careful: You can’t take the price as guaranteed yet. In the configurators, the prices are always given for the lowest ring height, so the price can still go up.”
