5 steps to the perfect wedding theme - Princess, James Bond or all white?
You are newly engaged and in the middle of planning your wedding. Of course, there are thousands of questions to be answered. One particularly important one is whether or not you want to have a theme for your wedding. If so, which one? The choice is endless, but how do you find the perfect theme? You can find the right theme in 5 steps. Find out how here.
1. wedding motto: yes or no?
Not every wedding needs a theme or motto. However, a wedding motto has one big advantage: it gives the wedding planning a better structure right from the start.
Depending on the wedding theme, the colours are already given (pink wedding), the choice of location is easier, e.g. for a mountain wedding. The choice of dress is also much easier. The motto helps with detailed decisions, which saves time and nerves.
2. what are the mottos?
The wedding motto can be tied to very different things. The location, for example, is an anchor: mountain wedding, beach wedding, wedding on the water, wedding in Italy, country or city wedding. Different (dress) styles can also determine the theme: Princess wedding, boho wedding, traditional costume wedding.
3. what could we like?
If you would like to have a theme for your wedding, it is important that it fits in with the surroundings where you would like to get married. You really need to consider this when choosing a theme. Ask yourself what could suit you.
For example, a place you love, a style of music you both like. The location of your wedding can also be a theme. If you are getting married in the mountains, it could be a traditional wedding. The important thing is that you both like it.

4. does the wedding theme suit the location and your guests?
The motto should also fit where you are getting married. A princess wedding belongs in a beautiful castle and not in the village inn next door.
You should think about whether your guests can join in with the theme: If there are a lot of children, a wedding on a ship might not be the safest option. Important: Think about the guests, too.
5. does the perfect wedding theme fit into the budget?
Under the motto "money is no object", I have already had the pleasure of planning several weddings, one of which was a James Bond wedding: the guests were whisked away from the airport in a stretch limousine and the bride wore various dresses that would have made even Pierce Brosnan breathless. Therefore, you should definitely think about whether your theme can be realised within the budget. Exclusive locations such as castles are expensive.
But my most important tip comes at the end. And that is: completely or not at all. A pink wedding is not a pink wedding if only the invitations and the flowers are pink.
You have even more questions than before? That's quite normal: In my Wedding Workshop, you can find out how to implement your theme perfectly, stay within budget and what else you need to consider in the perfect wedding planning besides the wedding theme.
All the best, your Katha
