As a Wedding Planner, I Find Autumn to be the most Beautiful Time to get Married
You can get married all year round, and each season has its special advantages. As a wedding planner, I must confess that I have a favorite season, and that’s autumn. In this blog article, you’ll read about the advantages of an autumn wedding.
In spring, things start to bloom, in summer the weather is (usually) nice, and in winter, the snow brings a very special romance. But if you were to ask me when I would schedule a wedding, I would choose autumn.
1. Your Guests Have Time
Autumn is not vacation time, school has started again, and weekends in autumn are not yet planned out. Many people have time then, and you risk fewer cancellations, which is why autumn is an excellent choice.
2. The Temperatures are Pleasant
In summer, temperatures are often high. It gets very hot, the bride and groom and guests sweat. Outside, everyone will be looking for shade, and in the evening, guests prefer to be outdoors where it’s more pleasant than inside.
In autumn, it’s often warm enough during the day to be outside, and in the late afternoon/early evening, people move indoors as it slowly gets cooler.
3. Service Providers are more Available
Photographers, florists, make-up artists, and others are sometimes booked years in advance during the peak wedding seasons of late spring and summer. In autumn, schedules are freer, and you have better chances of actually getting your desired service providers.
4. The Culinary Variety is Unmatched
Have you ever been served beef fillet at a wedding? Probably yes. If you want to offer something more individual in terms of catering, autumn has an incredible variety to offer.
Autumn is also harvest time in our latitudes. Vegetables like pumpkin, red cabbage, and potatoes are not only fresh but also varied and regional, which has become increasingly important for many of my clients.
5. Autumn Comes in Vibrant Colors
Pale pink and light green belong to spring. In autumn, you can go all out with colors: deep orange, strong red, dark green, magenta, and violet create a romantically warm ambiance. And not just for floral decorations, but also for stationery design, the color diversity allows for particularly individual designs, guaranteeing that the invitation doesn’t look exactly like your best friend’s.
6. Autumn Shines in Golden Light
The autumn wedding also has advantages for the bridal shoot: In autumn, you don’t have to wait until late afternoon for the warm, romantic light to finally arrive. Moreover, this special light quality is enhanced by the colors of nature, namely brown, red, and yellow, making everything shine golden. After-wedding shoots are often deliberately scheduled for autumn.
All the best, your Katha
